Pictures, and just a few words.
This is when my cousin/ring bearer kept staring out the window, gazing at the incredibly ominous sky saying, “Why isn’t it raining? I think it should be raining. It really looks like rain.”
My sister: “James, we don’t want it to rain.”
“But it should be!”
Group shot and I’ll spare you the every combination of family possible shots.
To the Virginia Tech gardens for pictures.
But first, some refreshment.
1) I kinda wish everyone was lined up in a row in this picture. I think I was too much of a go with the flow type bride.
2) I’m glad I didn’t care what shoes people wore, because you can’t see anyone’s shoes in the picture!
My favorite two pictures from the wedding.
Sister got bored.
Just the two of us. Well, just me first.
Did I tell you the back of my dress was altered? It used to just not be there. Long story short, I bought a halter top, regretted it, and then asked the seamstress if she could altar it. ‘Cause otherwise, HELLO that’s a lot of skin. I still don’t love the fact that it looks like a halter top from the front, but I think the back is super pretty.
I went ahead and bustled my dress for these pictures. Maybe we would’ve gotten some cool shots if the train was still down, but I never loved the idea of having a train, and it made it really easy to walk around in.
John helped take this picture, see?
I think I’m roughly the same color as my dress. I went on a week long bike ride two weeks before the wedding, so I had a nice little bike tan/freckle line going on.
So that was our wedding picture session. Sometimes I get kinda jealous when I see brides with their cute poses and running through a field full of daisies and such. But I am glad we only spent about 45 minutes on these as opposed to 3 hours.
Oh yeah, and we forgot to get a picture of just ourselves at the altar. Oops.
See that red Camry in the background? That was our ride. My little sister drove us around. I told her to stop at Starbucks on the way. She didn’t. Biggest regret of the day.
